House of Windsor: Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin

You've all probably seen images of Veranda Magazines  "The House of Windsor"   but now that Gwyneth Paltrow and the incredible Chris Martin have purchased it, it's worth looking at again.   The Los Angeles concept house is breathtaking.   The perfect house for one of my favorite celebrity couples.

The exterior makes me want to cry - it's perfection

Hopefully Gwyneth and Chris will allow it to be published again once they move it and make it their own as they have incredible taste.

Summer Sun

If it's not going to feel like Summer outside, then at least it can feel like Summer inside. A few breezy coastal rooms to get me in the mood.

It just goes to show that a beautiful room can boost your mood and transport to you to a time or place.  And in this case, I need it to evoke sun and the carefree feeling of Summer.  Hope you are experiencing more sun than we are in the Pacific Northwest.

Sports Free Weekend

This past weekend was the first sports free weekend we've had since March.  We wanted to have a fun family day that didn't involve sports equipment or hanging out at home so we decided to take a little day trip.   We drove an hour North of Seattle to a town called Camano Island on the Puget Sound.

It has beautiful but rustic rocky beaches.  Typical of the Northwest, this is a shoes and fleece kind of beach.  Not a flip flop and swimsuit beach.   But, so beautiful and peaceful.

The boys spent hours looking for crabs, eels and starfish.  Then, of course, they had to through in a little boys will be boys horseplay. This is their penalty kick/ cup check stance.
Tilly came along too and loved getting some fresh air.
So much so, that she was exhausted towards the end of the day.

While the boys looked for sea life, we got a screw top bottle of wine and some Styrofoam cups from the local gas station and took in the scenery.

I can't remember when I had a more relaxing "sports free" day with the family.

Hope you had a good weekend too.
